From Lynchburg, so I've been following, but have to share this:

I was in Cabo about a decade ago when a Cat 4 was supposed to hit.....but it missed us by a good measure. Regardless, the news had already committed to showing a hurricane hitting, so as we watched from our room the "live report from the beach" about the storm picking up steam and "no deaths reported yet" we walked out on our balcony, saw the live reporter down on the beach standing in zero wind and zero rain. You would never think there was a storm anywhere if you were standing there. We had to laugh at what was literally being fabricated. They even showed a beached catamaran nearly on its side as part of the effect of the hurricane. Problem was that Cat was there a week earlier and was on its side because the trailer it was on lost a tire. Lost all faith in the news at that point.
